This Black-Crowned Night Heron actually flew right in front of me, swooped down into the canal and grabbed a fish from the water, but I couldn't get my camera out in time to capture him in action. He landed on the bank of the canal and proceeded to swallow this rather large fish whole!
Wow that's a bit of a mouthful Lisa, well done to catch this picture.
ReplyDeleteNice shot Lisa, you were pretty close to catch this. Oddly I saw a heron yesterday but between the tall reeds and the boggy marsh I just could not get any closer than around 50m, just too far. Paul at Leeds daily photo
