Well, the top of MY world anyway! I took this after doing a pre-dawn hike up to the Lanikai Pillboxes with my sister in law. We sat here and watched the sun rise, casting its light onto the black peaks of the Ko'Olau Mountain range and several offshore islands. Truly a magnificent view! ReplyDeleteYour dawn hike certainly was rewarded by a beautiful sunrise. Lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is spectacular. You must have gotten up REALLY early to capture this shot!
ReplyDeleteThat was a gorgeous shot. :D I think I would have goosebumps if I was in that spot, watching the sun rise. :D
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteYour eye amazes me--as might be clear from the 12 other comments to this photo. Keep it up. It's a wonder for those of us who enjoy the Pacific Ocean vicariously through you.

I came to say thank you for leaving a comment on my blog. Wow! You are an incredible photographer! I love your photos! If I had known, I would have asked you if you had any pictures of broken vases!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! I actually didn't have to get up TOO early for this one. Because Hawaii does not participate in daylight savings, the sun rises about 7:10am this time of year. Ellen - so glad you stopped by! I don't have any pics of broken vases, but now that I've seen your new blog look I will definitely snap a photo of them if I ever see any :)
