B: Byodo-In Temple

A serene place to spend a little time if you're on the windward side of the island.  The temple is a replica of a 950 year-old Buddhist temple in Uji, Japan.  There are huge Koi fish in the ponds, as well as a few black swans, peacocks, and turtles on the grounds.  For more photos beginning with 'B', visit ABC Wednesday.

  5. It may be a replica but it looks pretty good to me. Here in Leeds we have one black swan.

  7. The scene is both gorgeous and serene. The picture is very dramatic, with most of the weight on one side and the sky and storm clouds on the other.

  9. Thanks so much everyone. Roger, I like the ABC blog - makes it more fun! Paul, I actually posted a comment on your black swan photo but for some reason it didn't show up! Sometime I'll post a photo of the Byodo-In swans.
