Ruffled Feathers

This is one of a handful of black swans that can be spotted in the small ponds surrounding the Byodo-In Temple in Kaneohe.  For some reason, I am drawn to photograph them every time I go there - I love the ripple of their feathers, the bright red beaks, and the way they glide silently across the water.

  1. She got ruffled up a bit. Must be a crazy current in the water or something.

  3. As Leif has said very beautiful, colourful photo. We have one black swan here on the river in Leeds city centre, he is a beauty but I am told quite aggressive too. I have featured him on my Leeds daily photo
